KITE Retain is designed to maximise the traditional King Post concept. This product is designed to maximise the effectiveness of retaining structures by utilising horizontal members that are formed to interlock with one another which will minimise the bleed through of retained material.
KITE Seawall reminds us that seaside walks are part of the holiday experience. Penny arcades, fairground rides and fish and chips all create a sense of seaside nostalgia. Coastal based local authorities have a constant battle with trying to keep the natural elements at bay, whilst enhancing the attractiveness of their seaside resort.
Our approach to ‘Collaborative Engineering’ has the problem at the centre. With the desire to maintain clear water flow, an unintended consequence is that debris will gather. The KITE Flow solution creates a screen that delivers the desired outcome of flowing water. This is a challenge facing numerous water management systems, so it is essential that the solution can be integrated with the watercourse, culvert or coastal environment.
In the interests of the SMP scheme, I have been sent the following from KITE engineering. I have used these guys in the past with Carnell for projects on the Highways England network supplying permanent handrail products for capping beams, culverts, bridges etc. They are fairly local (Winchester) and Mitchell has always provided a professional, good and quick service.
