KITE Step

The original and best! KITE Step has become the preferred product for safe access on cuttings and embankments, where access is otherwise dangerous and threatening. Modular in principle, it is designed to be adjustable for installation purposes, but once installed it is a permanent provision with a design life of over 40 years.

How we keep networks moving

KITE Projects were engaged to design & supply a guardrail to comply with relevant standards for a new fish pass.

KITE Projects Ltd were pleased to work with BAM UK & Ireland and the Environment Agency to enhance the safety of pedestrians as part of the £10m Cockett Wick Sea defence scheme in Essex.

The KITE Step Walkway system is designed to enable infrastructure workers to continue their journey safely whilst working on the network.

KITE Projects were involved in a coastal defence scheme in Portsea to protect more than 4,200 homes from rising sea levels and flooding.

Climate change is making Shoreham and many other seaside towns more and more vulnerable to rising sea levels, and it is vital that projects like the one at Shoreham are undertaken in the future.

This site requires access down the embankment, to a number of equipment cabinets that required Network Rail staff to carry tools and equipment down a long, continuous slope of about 20 degrees.
