On 8th July 2025, the Environment Agency launched its bold new corporate strategy, EA2030: Change for a Better Environment. This forward-looking plan sets out a clear vision for the next five years and beyond, placing strong emphasis on the need for a sustainable change. As environmental pressures continue to grow, it’s clear that as a country, we must adapt. EA2030 signals a renewed commitment to building a cleaner, greener, and more resilient future, and it’s a call to action for everyone to play their part.

Across the UK, we’re facing growing environmental pressures - from climate change and rising sea levels to pollution, habitat loss, and declining biodiversity. These are not distant problems; they’re here, now, affecting the way we live, work, and plan for the future. The EA’s strategy recognises this reality and sets a course that aims to build a more resilient, sustainable environment for future generations.
