Collaborative engineering for a safer rail network
Did you know that between the 1st April 2023 to the 31st March 2024, 1.6 billion journeys were made on UK rail network? Delivering project outcomes on time
Undergoing a project across any industry, no matter how big or small, comes with its own set of risks. One of the biggest hazards a project manager may face is failing to deliver the project outcomes within the deadline. Here at KITE Projects, we believe in Collaborative Engineering, a concept that utilises a process where we incorporate an agreed level of engineering design to suit the project requirements, and build a product package to fulfil the agreed design.
Eastleigh depot case study
There was a need at Eastleigh Depot to enhance the safety of the staff working at the depot. The changes proposed included a compliant and safe walkway to protect the personnel at work, eliminating risks such as trip hazards whilst tasks are being undertaken.
KITE Projects rose to the challenge, with the design and supply of a fully compliant, safe, and sustainable walkway system. The walkways were installed to maximise the walking space, and, by using anti-slip GRP grating, decreased the risk of trips and falls.

Havant Thicket Reservoir
Havant Thicket, a nature reserve in the south of England, is a popular destination for many families as they enjoy the summer months in the woodlands, fields and by the wetlands that the park has to offer. The Havant Thicket Reservoir project is a collaboration between Southern Water and Portsmouth Water, and involves the building of a new reservoir, with the aim to ‘provide a new resource to supply drinking water in the water-stressed South East of England, while maximising the community and environmental benefits of a new raw water reservoir.’ Read more here!
